Residential Technology Specialist - Sales+Specification

Job Description

This position effectively manages sales leads as well as identifies other prospective opportunities to result in profitable sales. The consultative sales process defines the client’s needs, then, formulates solutions. Three years of capital goods sales experience to commercial and/or builders/architects for medium to large projects is required. Prior experience in commercial sound, video, lighting, projection systems, corporate conference room sound & video, and video-conferencing is preferred. Must be a self-motivated, results-oriented professional with strong oral and written communication skills. High standards for personal integrity, work ethic, professional presentation, and quality work are also required. The successful candidate is driven by quality customer service and is seeking a long-term employment opportunity. The ability to play a musical instrument and/ or read music as well as a personal interest in electronics, music, sound, lighting, video, and/or security systems is a strong plus!

Qualifications

  • Prior Experience in B2B Outside Sales & Territory Management

AV Technician - Lead

Job Description

AV Technical Lead needed.  You oversee Technicians and work with Project Managers to complete the installation of home theater and media systems, distributed audio systems, lighting and shading systems. You will be working in high-end residential and commercial environments in and around DC and Virginia regions as well as other cities.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of general experience in related high end low voltage and pre wire installations
  • Various  types of cable management dressing experience
  • Fiber optic, Cat5 / Cat6, RG6 cable dressing and termination
  • A/V and Networking Racks setup and buildout
  • Experience working on construction sites, interfacing with contractors and other trades
  • Ability to use power tools to achieve optimal results in the finished product
  • Experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • Experience in running conduit, wire, and installing media devices
  • Up to date with smartphone apps and integration
  • Clean and Valid Driver’s License
  • Available for occasional travel and overnight stays for 3-4 days out of the area

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Crestron Control Systems
  • Knowledge of Crestron Lighting and Shade Systems

  • Rendering and presenting design concepts to clients and partners

Required Qualifications

  • Intermediate Experience with Revit and AutoCAD for Mac and/or Windows, Adobe Photoshop and  Illustrator
  • Basic Experience with the following a plus:
    • 3D Modeling via Rhino
    • Adobe InDesign
    • Programming

Required Experience

  • 1-3 years in drafting and graphic design with Revit and AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

Project Manager

Responsibilities
Project Managers are responsible for managing all communication, documentation and coordination on a project from design to installation to ensure a seamless delivery of high-end home theater systems, home automation, lighting control, window treatments and whole house audio systems as specified on project design documentation.

  • Establish and track critical milestones, timelines and contingency plans
  • Conduct site visits to meet with other trades to ensure all elements of the SmartTouchUSA scope are being installed according to specifications
  • Conduct site visits meeting with client or trades to ensure conduit, floor boxes, AC power, cable, etc. are being installed according to our Drawing Set
  • Maintain communication with internal operations to coordinate Design, Purchasing and Installation
  • Communicate with external partners such as architects, general contractors, electricians, etc. to facilitate seamless delivery of contracted scope of the project
  • Work with Installation team to identify all parts and pieces necessary for 100% complete installation including equipment, hardware, cables, tools and other installation materials
  • Manage project budgets
  • Engage in post-project reviews to continue to develop processes

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a self-starter with strong attention to details, ability to multitask while staying well organized and must have exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Understand how to create and update Gantt installation charts to track project and installation milestones and deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and residential construction methods and how they affect installation of AV scope
  • Ability to read and understand architectural plans and schedules
  • Professional demeanor and presentation

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years of work experience as a Project Manager or Lead AV Technician or as a manager in architecture, construction, design or electrical managing cross-functional teams

Starting Wage

  • $55K-$70K/year, based on experience

Operations Associate

Job Description

Operations Associate needed at our main Corporate Headquarters. You will assist our Inventory Manager and Office Administrator to maintain the stockroom and office organization of tools and supplies.  You will be assisting in the packing and breaking down of shipment boxes. You will maintain a safe environment for stockroom access through cleaning and organizing.  You will be assisting with the unloading of deliveries/pallets, maintenance and tracking of our eBay sales and company vehicles.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to lift heavy items (about 50lbs to 60lbs)
  • Strong operational and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Able to effectively balance multiple requests and tasks
